LEAKED LETTER FROM SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT EXPOSES THE COMPLICITY OF THE PRESIDENCY ON THE CHAMBER BROUHAHAHA

Titanicradio.ga has in its possession a letter signed by the speaker of parliament addressed to the presidency inviting the president to a sod cutting ceremony for the construction of a new parliamentary chamber. The letter dated 19th June, 2019 informed the president about the time for the sod cutting which was to be in the last week of June 2019 and the reasons why there was a need for a new chamber.
It could be recalled that the Minister of Information, Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah has come out to categorically distance the Presidency from the new Parliamentary chamber following the backlash from the public. He stated in a press statement that, the executive did not sanction the building of the new chamber and the presidency has nothing to do with the new parliamentary chamber. This letter emanating from the office of the speaker of Parliament clearly contradicts the information minister’s claim.
The letter stated “I respectfully refer to the above and inform that the parliamentary service plans to undertake a sod-cutting ceremony regarding the construction of a new ultra-modern chamber complex within parliament house. This is further to our briefings regarding same”. Therefore the information minister’s attempt to exonerate the presidency from this imbroglio following the indignation of the general public only shows the extent this government would go to save its fast dwindling image in the public eye.
Since the assumption of office by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo in 2017, it has become the stock in trade of the N.P.P Government to quickly dissociate the Presidency from any scandal involving the President by feigning ignorance of the whole situation and “clearing” appointees of any wrong doing. Mention can be made of the cash for seat, Australian visa scandal, Anas’ expose on galamsey and kwasi Nyantakyi, Ameri deal etc. Therefore it is not surprising the Government is feigning in this latest uproar to save the face of the President from this humiliation.
